Job Description

Arctic Wolf is seeking a Director of Product Operations in Bengaluru to define, drive adoption of, and enforce accountability for an efficient software development lifecycle (SDLC) across the product organization. This role serves as the “product manager of the product management process,” codifying product‑management outcomes through the SDLC, standardizing product‑specific documentation, standards, and training, and owning strategy and implementation for product‑management SDLC tooling such as Aha!, Jira, Confluence, and related systems.

The Director of Product Operations is a strategic and execution‑focused leader responsible for driving operational excellence, overseeing cross‑functional processes, and ensuring alignment between Product Management, Engineering, Program Management, Product Marketing, UX, and other business teams. Core duties include developing, implementing, and refining operational strategies, processes, and systems that support organizational goals; leading cross‑functional initiatives that drive efficiency and predictable delivery; establishing performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks; and partnering with senior leadership to define operational strategy, optimize performance, and ensure organizational readiness as the business scales.

The role owns key product‑organization processes, including the fiscal‑year annual operating planning process, quarterly business review process, product development process and tools, and the road‑mapping process that supports greenlight requirements and communicates customer and stakeholder value. The Director drives consistent, standardized, and efficient usage of product‑management tooling (Aha!, Jira, Confluence, spreadsheets), owns product‑involved portions of the SDLC, and leads a metrics‑oriented view of the health of product‑management components of the SDLC. Responsibilities also include owning business‑case templates and lifecycle (from pitch through launch, with reporting against goals), owning product‑line strategy templates and lifecycle (including three‑year plans and strategic goals), enabling self‑serve access to knowledge and data, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement across product teams.

Influence‑focused responsibilities include providing scalable solutions (training, best practices, templates, targeted coaching) to help product managers create high‑quality epics, success metrics, and refinement processes; ensuring product managers use meaningful success metrics and driving regular review of deliverables against those criteria (in partnership with PMO); and assisting product leaders with best practices for PM involvement throughout the SDLC to achieve clear value communication, rapid problem solving, and scope adjustment. The Director ensures Product Marketing is embedded early and often in product and software development lifecycles, drives processes for high‑impact UX engagement, fosters early and frequent cross‑functional collaboration (IT, Product Security, Legal, GTO, S2, etc.), and facilitates quick decision‑making by acting as a prioritization point of contact.

Key skills include strong operational strategy development and execution; exceptional product‑management knowledge (deep, experiential understanding of PM to translate into best practices and standards); excellent cross‑functional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills; expertise in scaling processes and implementing operational frameworks; strong analytical and data‑driven decision‑making; extensive Agile SDLC experience; and high proficiency with operational and productivity tools, particularly Aha! or equivalent platforms. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Product Management, or a related field; 8+ years in operations, program management, product operations, or similar; proven experience leading cross‑functional initiatives in complex, fast‑paced environments; demonstrated ability to build and optimize operational processes; experience with Aha! or equivalent product‑management tools; and strong analytical and reporting capabilities. Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree (MBA or related), 10–12+ years in operations leadership, experience supporting product or technology organizations at scale, certifications in Lean/Six Sigma/Agile, prior responsibility for tool governance and enablement, and experience in change management and operational maturity transformations in software or tech environments. Arctic Wolf offers equity for all employees, flexible annual leave, paid holidays and volunteer days, training and career development programs, comprehensive private medical benefits, life and accident insurance, fertility support, and paid parental leave, in an inclusive culture recognized by multiple “best workplace” awards.
