They’re seeking a Blockchain Engineer to join the Core Product team. This individual will play a central role in designing and building smart contract systems and backend infrastructure that unlock accessible, scalable markets for end users. The role combines deep protocol work with practical backend engineering, all within a fast-moving, feedback-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of smart contracts for novel market mechanisms

• Design and implement backend systems that interact seamlessly with smart contract logic

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and researchers

• Contribute to product decisions and system architecture

• Maintain performance, security, and scalability across all production systems

Must-Have Qualifications

• Proven experience building and deploying DeFi smart contracts related to perpetuals, options, or CLOBs on live protocols

• 4+ years of backend engineering experience with Rust, Java, or other modern server-side languages

• Strong understanding of security, reliability, and scalability in crypto systems

• Familiarity with high-performance database systems and internal optimization techniques

• Clear communication and collaboration skills across functions

• Startup mindset with strong ownership and initiative-taking ability

Nice-to-Haves

• Deep familiarity with Solidity best practices and on-chain architecture patterns

• System design expertise, including low-level architecture and performance optimization

• Knowledge of concurrent software systems (e.g. pipelining, optimistic concurrency)

• Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-based infrastructure

• API development for production-grade financial applications

• Contributions to open-source crypto protocols

Interview Process

Compensation

This role offers a competitive salary and significant equity upside, aligned with long-term company success. Equity is granted on a standard four-year vesting schedule, consistent with the rest of the core team.
