Their services include crypto accounting, regulatory compliance, digital asset taxation, and tailored financial advisory for blockchain startups, fintech innovators, and digital asset platforms.

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Director to lead and grow their crypto-focused accounting practice. This individual will take on a pivotal leadership role—shaping strategic direction, managing key client relationships, and driving expansion efforts in the ever-evolving world of digital finance. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of Swiss accounting standards, blockchain technology, and the unique demands of the crypto industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and expand the firm’s crypto accounting division, setting strategic objectives and ensuring delivery of top-tier client services.

• Oversee complex engagements across accounting, audit, tax, and advisory for crypto and blockchain-native clients.

• Manage and deepen relationships with key clients while identifying and converting new business opportunities.

• Stay abreast of regulatory developments in Switzerland and globally concerning digital assets, crypto taxation, and blockchain frameworks.

• Represent the firm at industry panels, events, and forums to elevate brand visibility within the crypto and fintech ecosystem.

• Mentor and supervise a team of specialized accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Swiss Certified Accountant, or equivalent qualification.

• At least 10 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or financial advisory, with a minimum of 5 years focused on blockchain or crypto-related work.

• Deep knowledge of digital asset accounting, including valuation, custody, and Swiss regulatory frameworks.

• Proven track record of client service in an accounting or audit environment.

• Hands-on experience advising blockchain projects, including tokenomics, financial planning, and interim CFO support.

• Strong banking relationships and ability to bridge traditional finance with digital asset ecosystems.

• Proficiency in both traditional and crypto-native accounting tools (e.g., Xero, Quickbooks, Bexio, Cryptio, Breezing, Tres).

• Expertise in VAT and tax implications for cryptocurrencies and token-based activities.

• Ability to collaborate with legal teams to develop tax rulings for token issuances and related activities.

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in business development.

• Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.

• Fluency in English and either German or French (additional languages a plus).
