Job Description

The Medicare Sales Field Agent is a field-based sales professional responsible for helping Medicare-eligible individuals understand and evaluate health-plan options. Working throughout Denton County, the agent serves as a trusted, local resource by conducting one-on-one appointments, participating in community events, building relationships with local organizations, and following up with prospective members through approved in-person, virtual, and telephone interactions.

This role requires a consultative approach to sales. The agent listens to each individual’s health coverage needs, answers questions accurately, explains plan benefits and enrollment considerations in clear language, and supports consumers in making informed decisions. The agent represents the organization with professionalism, empathy, and integrity while ensuring each interaction follows applicable Medicare, insurance, privacy, and company compliance requirements.

The Medicare Sales Field Agent is expected to develop and manage an active local sales pipeline. Responsibilities include generating and qualifying leads, scheduling appointments, conducting compliant sales presentations, attending approved outreach events, documenting all customer interactions, and maintaining timely prospect follow-up. The agent works independently to organize their territory and meet enrollment, customer-service, and performance goals while collaborating with sales leadership and other internal partners.

Because this is a community-facing role, the agent must be comfortable traveling regularly within Denton County, working in varied settings, and adjusting their schedule to meet customer and event needs. The employee must also maintain accurate records in company systems, safeguard confidential personal and health information, complete required training, and participate in office meetings or training events when requested. The original Humana posting is listed as a Denton, Texas position and has been filled.
