👤 About the Role 

They’re looking for a Senior Python / DeFi Engineer to join their small, high-performing team. This is a backend-focused role with opportunities to contribute across the stack. You’ll work closely with product and strategy leads to design, model, and ship real DeFi strategies — not prototypes or experiments, but robust, production-ready tools.

This role is ideal for someone with deep Python skills and real-world experience building in DeFi environments — someone who understands the protocols, the mechanics, and the risks, and is excited to build the future of asset management.

✅ What You’ll Bring 

• 5+ years of Python experience in backend or data-heavy environments

• 2+ years of hands-on DeFi experience — building or maintaining real strategies/products

• Strong understanding of DeFi market structure: AMMs, order books, lending protocols

• Familiarity with key protocols such as Aave, Spark, Pendle, etc.

• Experience working with document-oriented databases (e.g. MongoDB)

• Proficient in data analysis: Pandas, NumPy, time-series and performance modeling

• Analytical mindset — comfortable modeling, graphing, and evaluating strategy behavior

• Proactive, self-driven, and capable of working independently

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• 2+ years of frontend experience with: React (TypeScript), TailwindCSS, Vite, Zustand

💡 Nice to Have 

• Ability to read/test Solidity smart contracts

• Experience with DeFi strategy engines, portfolio/risk tools, or simulations

• Background in quantitative finance, mathematics, or data science

• Familiarity with Web3 SDKs and infra (The Graph, Infura, Alchemy, etc.)

🔧 What You’ll Do 

• Build and iterate on strategy and risk products from MVP to production

• Model and test leveraged yield, LP, and lending strategies across major DeFi protocols

• Analyze and monitor strategy performance (real-time and historical)

• Work backend-first, but contribute to frontend when needed

• Collaborate with product and strategy teams to move quickly from concept to implementation

• Create internal tools for strategy evaluation, simulations, and risk modeling
