Senior Backend Engineer – Web3 Integrations

Location: Remote | Type: Full-time | Client: Early-stage Web3 startup

Our client is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with deep Web3 integration expertise and a proven track record of delivering production-grade systems in fast-moving environments. You’ll join a small, high-performing team and take ownership from day one — building, scaling, and integrating systems that power multi-chain portfolio management, trading, and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Development: Build, maintain, and scale backend services using TypeScript/Node.js, REST/GraphQL APIs, WebSockets, Redis, and Postgres/Timescale.

• Web3 Integrations: Integrate with DeFi protocols, aggregators, and data providers across multiple blockchains (EVM and Solana ecosystems).

• API & Data Architecture: Design and implement high-performance APIs and data pipelines for the frontend.

• Data Handling: Implement caching, rate-limiting, and high-throughput pipelines to keep multi-chain portfolio and market data fresh.

• Reliability & Monitoring: Embed observability into all services (metrics, logging, alerting).

• Security: Apply security best practices across integrations and backend logic.

• Independent Execution: Operate effectively with minimal oversight, making strong technical decisions.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience building multiple production blockchain-integrated products.

• Strong backend skills in TypeScript, Node.js, databases, and architecture design.

• Multi-chain integration experience, including EVM and non-EVM.

• Hands-on experience with account abstraction (ERC-4337 or similar).

• Strong communication skills to turn high-level problems into clear, actionable solutions.

• Experience thriving in early-stage startup environments.

• High ownership mindset with the ability to ship features end-to-end.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cross-chain swapping, bridging, and yield aggregation protocols.

• Familiarity with Solana tooling (Anchor, Solana Web3.js).

• Understanding of DEX/AMM design, liquidity mechanics, and perpetuals.

• Solidity and/or Rust smart contract development.

• AWS and performance tuning expertise for high-throughput systems
