As a Staff Software Engineer embedded in the endpoint security teams in Bengaluru, you will drive technical excellence across cloud engineering groups, owning the design and implementation of mission‑critical backend services that process large volumes of security telemetry for the Aurora Platform.
Key responsibilities include designing and implementing complex backend systems for cybersecurity data processing; building high‑performance APIs and services capable of handling millions of security events; leading the implementation of cloud‑native architectures using AWS, microservices, and containers; and driving technical standards in code quality, performance, reliability, and observability. You will mentor senior and mid‑level engineers on architecture and best practices, collaborate with Product, Security, and DevOps teams to deliver robust technical solutions, and champion the adoption of AI‑powered development tools
and AI‑assisted engineering practices to improve developer productivity, code quality, and system design.
The ideal candidate has 8–12 years of experience in backend engineering with at least 3 years in technical leadership roles, expert programming skills in Go, Python, or Java (with concurrency/parallel processing expertise and C#/.NET as a plus), and deep hands‑on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, and SQS/SNS. You should bring strong knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and security data processing, solid infrastructure‑as‑code skills using Terraform and related tools, proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker, experience with large‑scale data systems and streaming architectures, and advanced skill in RESTful API, GraphQL, and microservices design patterns. Demonstrated technical leadership in complex initiatives and mentoring across engineering teams is essential, along with alignment to Arctic Wolf’s mission to End Cyber Risk and its inclusive, global culture.
