Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and guide a team of service technicians and support personnel
  • Uphold high customer satisfaction by delivering prompt and efficient service
  • Enhance the department’s profitability through expense analysis and control
  • Formulate and apply strategies to boost service department income
  • Examine and sanction service quotes and bills for accuracy and fairness
  • Manage inventory and the procurement of parts and supplies
  • Ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards
  • Educate and develop service department staff to meet both individual and collective objectives
  • Foster a constructive work atmosphere and encourage team collaboration
  • Address customer issues promptly and resolve any service-related concerns
  • Remain informed about industry changes and trends to spot opportunities for advancement and refinement

Requirements:

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in automotive service management
  • Demonstrated success in running a profitable service department
  • Outstanding leadership, mentoring, and communication abilities
  • In-depth understanding of automotive service and maintenance
  • Proficiency with dealership management software and systems
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent (a college degree is advantageous)
